Dogs are barking mad for cheese treats! Cheese is an extremely popular dog treat flavor and rightfully so. Pooches gobble up delicious cheesy goodies in crackers, cookies, bones, and more. Cheese can be very good for dogs in small quantities. Most dogs are lactose intolerant but thankfully, cheese – especially aged cheese – has a much lower lactose level than milk. Any low fat, low sodium, low lactose cheese would be a great little nibble for your furry friend. Here are a few options to turn your four-legged friend into a curd nerd just like you!<\/p>\n

Churpi Chews<\/a> are an amazing treat that will keep your dog busy for hours. Each churpi chew is made of compressed yak\u2019s milk, salt, and lime making a dense cheesy treat! The bar is packed with protein and low in fat, making it a perfect snack for any breed or age. Generations of people living in the Himalayan mountains gave their working dogs these treats as fuel for their long days. With no chemicals or preservatives, the chew acts as a cheese-flavored lollipop and will last weeks. My French bulldog, Evanelle<\/a>, personally owns four and brings one to bed with her every night.<\/p>\n

Filled bones are popular dog treats because they can keep your pooch busy for a long time and they also clean the teeth when they start gnawing on the bone.
