In an unprecedented move that is kind of freaking us out because we definitely<\/em> had a dream a couple of months ago about waiting in line at a coffeeshop with all these young hipsters in leather boots and cheese-print denim ordering mozzarella macchiatos and cheddar lattes, Starbucks has added a potentially polarizing new syrup to their flavor-injector lineup: Cheese.<\/p>\n

An Australian barista posted a photo<\/a> of the concoction yesterday on Reddit, and reactions so far are mixed:<\/p>\n

Of course, upon a bare minimum of cursory research it was revealed to us that “Cheese syrup” really means “CheeseCAKE syrup,” specifically meant as a component of the new Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino<\/a>. Which is disappointing—Cheese and hot chocolate<\/a> is a thing in Colombia, and we were sure<\/em> this was gonna be the next big coffeehouse trend that was gonna elevate the dairy treat we love and adore every day of the week.
