Ever since we dumped their tea into the Boston Harbor, there has been a rivalry between us and the U.K. To them, we are their younger sibling who is just getting his\/her sea legs after a period of wobbling about. To us, they are our annoying older brother or sister who won’t stop using their age as a means of justification for everything. However, it might be time for us to put aside our differences once and for all, because the British are about to get something that us Americans can only dream for.<\/p>\n

Cheese Posties<\/a> is an up-and-coming startup company that aims to deliver weekly subscription boxes<\/a> filled with all the necessary ingredients to make gourmet Grilled Cheeses right to your door. Each week, members will receive a package containing artisan breads, cheeses, and condiments, along with a collectable baseball card with for each individual recipe.<\/p>\n

Each subscription box costs \u00a33.99 (~$6.20), and includes the costs for postage and handling procedures. And don’t worry, you’ll never miss a delivery because the packages fit right into your mail slot! (Just be sure to open it sooner rather than later. No one wants to know what a week-old cheese subscription box smells like.)<\/p>\n

On their website, Cheese Posties states that they source only the finest artisan ingredients for their grilled cheeses. Bread flavors range from the expected sourdough, to more eccentric flavors such as beetroot. Possible fillings include nutella, blueberries, chorizo, and bacon. But we all know why we’re really here: CHEESE. As is to be expected, Cheese Posties isn’t holding back when it comes to choosing creative cheeses for their sammies. Their selection of high-class cheeses includes flavors such as Pepper & Beer, French Blue, and Port Salut. In other words, these sandwiches are promised to deliver (pun intended).<\/p>\n

However, while it might sound like your prayers have finally been answered, don’t get out your credit card just yet. Instead of compiling possible investors, Cheese Posties has decided to go the route of public funding, launching a kickstarter campaign on June 22. So my dear friends, I leave you with this; this silly rivalry has gone on long enough.
