If you’re one of our many avid web readers, you might remember a piece<\/a> I wrote a few weeks back about the Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese that Buzzfeed had originally shared inJune<\/a>. To sum up the post, let’s just say I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole concept. However, while I fully thought I’d get a few comments and likes on Facebook from it, I was in no way expecting a heated debate to break out between those who were pro-BWGC vs. those who were anti-BWGC. Some of you were really brutal, which in all honesty is fantastic. One of the greatest gifts that a reader can give a writer is a strong response to something they’ve written, even if it’s about a dumb old sandwich wrapped in bacon. After reading through the comments, one thing became clear: I’d have to try one. A few packs of bacon and a cloud of smoke later, and we were having ourselves a Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese taste test. Was the sandwich as bad as I expected? Can you taste the difference between a high-quality cheese and vegan cheese when they’re both encased in bacon? Did we make it through the tasting without clogging an artery?
