{"id":27933,"date":"2016-07-08T14:46:32","date_gmt":"2016-07-08T18:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/?p=27933"},"modified":"2022-08-23T16:21:14","modified_gmt":"2022-08-23T20:21:14","slug":"perfect-harmony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/perfect-harmony\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheese Plate: Perfect Harmony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former human resources pro Kathleen Cotter started selling cheese at the <a href=\"http:\/\/nashvillefarmersmarket.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nashville Farmers\u2019 Market<\/a> in 2010 and remembers a customer who was surprised to learn that there was a local dairy scene. \u201cHappily, I don\u2019t hear that anymore,\u201d says Cotter.<\/p>\n<p>With market experience and courses at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.murrayscheese.com\/classes\/murrays-boot-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Murray\u2019s Cheese Boot Camp<\/a> and various conferences under her belt, Cotter opened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thebloomyrind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Bloomy Rind<\/a>, a store-within-a-store at Nashville\u2019s Porter Road Butcher East, in 2011. Today she stocks her counter with up to 50 wheels and wedges, mostly American-made with an ever-growing Southern contingent. We asked Cotter to select five cheeses fit for an outdoor music festival\u2014Bonnaroo descends on Manchester, Tenn. every June, after all\u2014and her crowd-pleasing picks are versatile and ready to travel.
