Check your fridges: Sargento has recalled<\/a> its Ultra Thin Sliced Longhorn Colby and Chef Blends Shredded Nacho & Taco Cheese products over concerns of a potential listeria<\/a> contamination. Affected Longhorn Colby packages have “sell by” dates of April 12 and May 10, 2017, while recalled Shredded Nacho & Taco Cheese products have “sell by” dates of June 14 and July 12, 2017. <\/p>\n

Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC, who supplied the Longhorn Colby to Sargento, notified the company of the possible contamination. Sargento says no illnesses have been reported so far. <\/p>\n

The Wisconsin-based cheesemaker is also recalling the following products out of caution since they were packaged on the same line as the Longhorn Colby: Sliced Colby Jack, Sliced Pepper Jack, Chef Blends Shredded Taco Cheese, Off the Block Shredded Fine Cut Colby Jack, and Off the Block Shredded Fine Cut Cheddar Jack.<\/p>\n
