Behold the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/wildescheese.co.uk\/collections\/easter\/products\/cheester-egg?variant=26309727109\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cheester Egg<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Annem Hobson, creator of food blog <a href=\"http:\/\/sowrongitsnom.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">So Wrong It&#8217;s Nom<\/a>, is collaborating with London&#8217;s&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wildescheese.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wildes Cheese<\/a>&nbsp;to produce a limited number of these cheesy treats.&nbsp;They are solid, handmade, ovular orbs of Wildes&#8217; award-winning&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wildescheese.co.uk\/products\/napier?variant=1089372604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Napier<\/a>, a hard cheese with a slightly sharp flavor that was crowned London&#8217;s Favorite Cheese at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainweb.org\/londonfoodlink\/awards\/#prizes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2015 Urban Food Awards<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hobson coined the term &#8220;Cheester&#8221; in 2015. She decided to start producing Cheester Eggs&nbsp;after the success of her&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cheeseadventcalendar.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cheese Advent Calendar<\/a>&nbsp;last&nbsp;Christmas, when she started a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?f=tweets&amp;vertical=default&amp;q=%23cheesenotchoc&amp;src=typd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#CheeseNotChoc<\/a> campaign on Twitter and received mountainous&nbsp;support from fellow turophiles.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was overwhelming, but I was thrilled to see a whole army of cheese lovers keen to see cheese in all the places that chocolate usually dominates,&#8221; Hobson said of the #CheeseNotChoc campaign in her most recent blog <a href=\"http:\/\/sowrongitsnom.com\/the-cheester-egg-has-hatched\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WAWrLrmgnbI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The Cheester Egg is roughly nine ounces&nbsp;of crumbly, golden goodness and costs&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a314.95 each (about $18.63 USD). There are also &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/wildescheese.co.uk\/collections\/easter\/products\/cheester-egg-nest-hamper?variant=26309788933\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nest Hampers<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/wildescheese.co.uk\/collections\/easter\/products\/cheester-egg-nest-box?variant=26309757701\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nest Boxes<\/a>&#8221; that include a Cheester Egg,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/petersyard.com\/product\/original-small-single-box\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peter\u2019s Yard Sourdough Crispbread<\/a>, and locally produced quince <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simplyrecipes.com\/recipes\/membrillo_quince_paste\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">membrillo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wildes&nbsp;is now scrambling to keep up with demand. At the time of writing, all Cheester Egg products are sold out on Wildes&#8217; website, but the cheesemakers are hoping to restock their inventory by the end of March. According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/lifestyle\/foodanddrink\/this-cheese-easter-egg-is-the-chocolate-alternative-weve-all-been-waiting-for-a3493931.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Evening Standard<\/em><\/a>, the egg is also available at select London farmers&#8217; markets.
