{"id":30015,"date":"2017-03-31T09:48:47","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T13:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/?p=30015"},"modified":"2019-07-25T14:36:43","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T18:36:43","slug":"beyonce-cheese-sculpture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/beyonce-cheese-sculpture\/","title":{"rendered":"Yes Whey: There&#8217;s Now a Cheese Sculpture of Beyonc\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was only a matter of time before someone turned the world&#8217;s biggest music star into a 45-pound cheese sculpture.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we&#8217;re talking about Beyonc\u00e9 and her cheesy effigy with the best name ever: Brie-onc\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Created for this weekend&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastvillagelondon.co.uk\/news\/no-whey-cheese-and-wine-festival-coming-east-village\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">E20 Cheese and Wine Festival<\/a>&nbsp;in London, the work of art is inspired by Queen Bey&#8217;s Internet-breaking image from February, when she announced on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BP-rXUGBPJa\/?taken-by=beyonce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> that she&#8217;s expecting twins with Jay Z.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_30019\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30019\" class=\"size-full wp-image-30019\" src=\"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/BeyonceBrieonce.jpg\" alt=\"Brie-onc\u00e9 and her muse. Photo Credit: @beyonce and @therobincollective Instagrams<\/small><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Artist David Bradley <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/food-and-drink\/news\/brie-onceartist-creates-sculpture-beyonce-entirely-cheese\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">collaborated<\/a> with ad agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therobincollective.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Robin Collective<\/a>&nbsp;and food sculptor&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/totallysugar.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacqui Kelly<\/a>. It took 28 hours and 45 pounds of cheddar to craft this carving, and we have to say, it&nbsp;looks pretty gouda.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/03\/30\/entertainment\/brie-once-beyonce-cheese-statue-trnd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN.com article<\/a>, creative director Brandy Klingelpuss reveals many cheese pun-ny names were considered, but &#8220;Brie-onc\u00e9&#8221; prevailed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We talked about putting Babybel in the stomach, but it never actually happened,&#8221; Klingelpuss says.<\/p>\n<p>Brie-onc\u00e9&nbsp;will be on display&nbsp;at the festival&#8217;s Cheese Carving Competition on Saturday.
