We&#8217;re rolling into 2019, and most of us who watch the news are pretty surprised the apocalypse hasn&#8217;t arrived. However, we do have a bit of good news. Next time you make a Costco run to stock your underground bunker, pick up some mac and cheese. That&#8217;s right- Costco now sells a <a href=\"https:\/\/fox8.com\/2019\/01\/10\/attention-mac-and-cheese-lovers-costco-now-selling-27-lbs-bucket-with-20-year-shelf-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">27-pound bucket of mac and cheese<\/a>. Even better, with an estimated shelf life of 20 years, you&#8217;ll be able to enjoy it for decades to come. So, grab yourself a bucket, make a cup of instant coffee, and catch up on all the cheesy news worth reading.<\/p>\n<h4>Here&#8217;s what you might have missed this week:&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>For those of you in the know, White Castle is more than just a burger joint. For a limited time, their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delish.com\/food-news\/a25802405\/white-castle-mac-and-cheese-nibblers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mac and cheese bites<\/a> (fried in cheddar batter, no less) are available at all locations. Try not to stampede.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Grilled cheeses lead to gang violence. Well, not really. But a proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/cheese-toasties-banned-bristol-park-2407781\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hot food truck<\/a> was rejected by a quiet Bristol park for fear that offering grilled cheese (or &#8220;cheese toasties&#8221;) and other hot foods would encourage motorbike gangs to loiter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Trump&#8217;s face off with House Democrats has led to a government shutdown. But it&#8217;s not all bad; a Detroit restaurant group now has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/story\/entertainment\/dining\/2019\/01\/09\/local-restaurant-group-offer-free-mac-and-cheese-fed-employees-during-shutdown\/2526880002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monday special offering<\/a> a free dish of its famous mac and cheese to any government employee.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>To celebrate the launch of their Nacho Cheese Chicken Chalupa, Taco Bell is <a href=\"https:\/\/thetakeout.com\/taco-bell-nacho-cheese-billboard-toronto-1831640414\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">building a billboard<\/a> in Toronto that will dispense nacho cheese.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>We Americans love our smart devices, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/news\/make-your-own-cheese-at-home-with-this-smart-cheesemaker-at-ces-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smart home cheesemaker<\/a> has (almost!) arrived.
