Murray&#8217;s Cheese has long dominated the cheese scene in New York (and beyond!). Their <a href=\"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/article\/9-cheese-shops-you-need-to-follow-on-instagram-right-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>&nbsp;pictures are always delightful, and they frequently wow their audience with new and exciting cheeses. They&#8217;re taking it one step further with a new <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2019\/2\/20\/18233381\/murrays-mac-and-cheese-greenwich-village-opening-date\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fast-casual restaurant<\/a> dedicated solely to mac and cheese. Patrons can choose from a plethora of options, including buffalo chicken (with New York cheddar and blue cheese) and French onion (with&nbsp;Gruy\u00e8re and raclette). We&#8217;ll see you there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Here&#8217;s what you might have (also) missed this week in cheese news:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Aldi&#8217;s never stops the cheese party. In honor of St. Patrick&#8217;s Day, they&#8217;ve launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bustle.com\/p\/aldis-st-patricks-day-cheese-lineup-includes-boozy-green-options-15987924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new line of cheeses<\/a> that include a green option and one filled with alcohol.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>The leading reason many vegetarians can&#8217;t make the leap to veganism? Cheese. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/lifeandstyle\/2019\/feb\/20\/to-brie-or-not-to-brie-can-vegan-cheese-taste-as-good-as-dairy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Fauxmagerie<\/a>, the first non-dairy cheese shop in the UK, proves there might be some middle ground.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Cyprus is the homeland of Halloumi, and they applied for PDO designation (and the ensuing protections) from the EU years ago. However, there might be a few more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/megykarydes\/2019\/02\/22\/why-cyprus-is-at-risk-of-losing-its-precious-halloumi-cheese-commodity\/#1d934bff1a8e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bumps in the road<\/a> for this beloved cheese.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>The latest news from the Land Down Under: cheese might be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bodyandsoul.com.au\/nutrition\/nutrition-tips\/the-dietary-advice-every-cheese-lover-needs-to-read\/news-story\/c7262ec3561278cab9e8499ebd9cea2e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an integral component<\/a> to a healthy diet. So go ahead. Enjoy another wedge. You&#8217;re doing it for your cardiovascular health, after all.&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.producer.com\/2019\/02\/norwegian-farmer-named-worlds-big-cheese\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jorn Hafslund<\/a> only has 12 cows on his Norwegian farm. But that doesn&#8217;t stop him from producing the best cheese in the world.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Time to get a little technical. Mere months after buying Australia&#8217;s largest dairy processor, Canadian-based Saputo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2019-02-22\/canada-s-saputo-to-buy-dairy-crest-for-1-3-billion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bought Britain&#8217;s Dairy Crest Group Plc<\/a>.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlasobscura.com\/foods\/apple-cheese\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple cheese<\/a>. You might be disappointed to learn there&#8217;s nothing cheesy about it.
