To address cultural squeamishness around bacteria, the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/thetakeout.com\/victoria-albert-museum-cheese-celebrities-food-exhibit-1834678984\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Selfmade<\/a>&#8221; exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London took matters into its own hands. Scientists collected bacteria from the noses, armpits, and navels of five British celebrities to create a starter culture. The end result? A Stilton, cheddar, Comt\u00e8, mozzarella, and Cheshire with nontraditional origins. Kudos on the originality, but&#8230;would you try it?<\/p>\n<h4>Here&#8217;s what else you might have missed this week in cheese news:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>We love any and all studies proclaiming the health benefits of cheese. Some Polish researchers recently announced that cheese consumption <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox29.com\/web\/wtxf\/news\/eating-cheese-and-yogurt-helps-protect-against-premature-death-study-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lowers the risk of death<\/a> by eight percent. More <a href=\"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/cheese-bites\/best-baked-bries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">brie<\/a>, anyone?&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re not a fan of the chunky texture of <a href=\"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/article\/cottage-cheese-is-making-a-comeback\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cottage cheese<\/a>, then maybe you should try it <a href=\"https:\/\/skillet.lifehacker.com\/cottage-cheese-is-even-better-whipped-1834726636\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">whipped<\/a>. It&#8217;s a perfect addition to toast or hash browns, or directly from the bowl.&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>In celebration of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, SpareRoom announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandleisure.com\/food-drink\/forty-one-cheese-pizza-london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pizza with 41 cheeses<\/a>\u2014 one from each of the countries participating.&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese, maker of fan favorites like <a href=\"https:\/\/developer83.wordpress-developer.us\/culturecheesemag\/cheese-iq\/cheese-day-bay-blue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bay Blue<\/a> and Toma, was recently named the 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delimarketnews.com\/well-paired\/point-reyes-farmstead-cheese-named-small-business-year-Diana-Giacomini-Hagan\/maggie-mead\/mon-05132019-1106\/7786\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Small Business of the Year<\/a>!<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Say cheese! The Kangaroo Valley Show in Australia broke the Guinness World Record for the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/news\/2019\/5\/say-cheese-1000-people-gather-in-australia-for-worlds-largest-cheese-tasting-e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">largest cheese tasting event<\/a>.&#8221;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Western Pennsylvania was hit by a tsunami. A social media one, that is.
