The award &#8220;recognizes the contributions of leaders in dairy product sales and marketing &#8230; [who have] introduced new concepts, products or innovative ideas to drive sales nationally or internationally,&#8221; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisfarmer.com\/story\/news\/2021\/12\/21\/wisconsin-cheesemakers-association-awards-highest-honor-new-awards\/8983939002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin State Farmer<\/a>. Strange and Salmans are two of 12 WCMA Recognition Awards recipients who will be honored at the expo in Milwaukee April 14-22.<\/p>\n<p>The latest COVID surge has prompted organizers to postpone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CheesemongerInvitational\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cheesemonger Invitational San Francisco<\/a> until March 4-6, 2022. The move has been made in conjunction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/goodfoodfdn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Good Food Awards Weekend<\/a>, which has been rescheduled for March 3 (Mercantile) and 4 (Awards Ceremony). The Good Food Award winners will still be announced on Jan. 14; a list of finalists can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/goodfoodfdn.org\/awards\/finalists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The team from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claremontcheese.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cheese Cave<\/a> of Claremont, California, triumphed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fonduel.com\/?fbclid=IwAR3f3K_AKfV7bcLR44tVTduEixCia2iK5hxryERXvln3c9kGp8p6cwC8gqE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LAFonDuel<\/a>, which challenged Los Angeles-area cheese shops (including <a href=\"https:\/\/ladyandlarder.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lady &amp; Larder<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dtlacheese.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DTLA Cheese<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caillouxcheeseshop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cailloux Cheese Shop<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/milkfarmla.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Milkfarm<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/culturedslice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cultured Slice<\/a>) to showcase their fondue game. The event was sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/makertomonger.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbia Cheese<\/a> and emceed by DJ Fondastic, otherwise known as Adam Markowitz, who talked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delimarketnews.com\/shop-talk\/adam-moskowitz-and-marnie-clarke-discuss-recent-lafonduel-event\/chandler-james\/wed-12222021-0908\/12801?blast=1&amp;bid=12809\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deli Market News<\/a> about how the day of molten cheese went down.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmpf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Milk Producers Federation<\/a> annual meeting in Las Vegas earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cabotcheese.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cabot<\/a> Vermont Sharp Cheddar won the Chairman&#8217;s Award and was named Best Cheddar \u2014two of 15 accolades the cooperative was awarded at the event.
